First Steps Checklist

Use this checklist to make sure your site is complete and ready for clients.

Essential Setup

These items should be completed before sharing your site:

1. Complete Your Profile

Your profile information appears on your About page and throughout your site.

  • Upload your professional headshot
  • Add your name and title
  • Write a brief bio (2-3 paragraphs recommended)
  • Enter your contact information (phone, email)
  • Add your license number

4. Set Up MLS Compliance

MLS rules require certain disclosures on your site.

  • Enter your MLS attribution text
  • Add any required disclaimers

These items enhance your site but can be done after launch:

5. Create Service Areas

Showcase the neighborhoods you specialize in.

  • Add at least 2-3 service areas
  • Upload hero images for each area
  • Write descriptions for SEO
  • Set appropriate listing filters

6. Review Your Listings

Make sure your properties look great.

  • Check that listing photos are displaying
  • Upload additional photos if needed
  • Verify pricing and property details are correct
  • Set a featured listing for your homepage

Turn on features that match your business needs.

  • Review available features
  • Enable favorites if you want clients to save listings
  • Enable social sharing if desired
  • Consider the mortgage calculator feature

  • Visit your site on your phone to check mobile appearance
  • Click through each page to verify links work
  • Submit a test contact form to verify you receive leads
