How to upload and organize listing photos
Managing Photos
Great photos are essential for showcasing properties. This guide explains how to upload, organize, and manage listing photos.
Photo Sources
Your listings can have photos from two sources:
- Your uploads — Photos you add through the dashboard
- MLS photos — Photos synced automatically from MLS data
Your uploads always take priority. If you upload photos for a listing, those display instead of MLS photos.
Uploading Photos
Step 1: Find the Listing
- Go to Listings in your dashboard
- Search or browse to find the listing
- Click on the listing to open it
Step 2: Open Photo Management
- Click the Photos tab or section
- You'll see existing photos (if any) and an upload area
Step 3: Upload Your Photos
Method 1: Drag and Drop
- Drag image files from your computer directly onto the upload area
Method 2: Click to Browse
- Click the upload area
- Select one or more images from your computer
- Click Open
Step 4: Wait for Upload
- A progress indicator shows upload status
- Photos appear in the grid when complete
- You can upload multiple photos at once

Setting the Primary Photo
The primary photo is the most important—it's the first impression.

- Go to the listing's Photos section
- Find the photo you want as primary
- Either:
- Drag it to the first position, or
- Click the star/primary icon on the photo

- Shows the property at its best angle
- Has good lighting
- Is high resolution
- Represents the property accurately

When MLS Photos Display
MLS photos appear when:
- You haven't uploaded any photos
- All uploaded photos have been deleted
If MLS photos aren't available either, visitors see a "Photos Coming Soon" placeholder.
Photo Quality Tips
Take Better Photos
- Time of day — Golden hour (early morning or evening) provides warm, flattering light
- Clean first — Declutter and clean before shooting
- Wide angles — Show entire rooms from corners
- Stability — Use a tripod or steady surface
- Multiple angles — Capture each room from different viewpoints
Edit Photos Wisely
- Brighten dark images
- Straighten crooked horizons
- Crop out distractions
- Don't over-filter or misrepresent the property
Professional Photography
For important listings, consider:
- Hiring a professional photographer
- Using professional editing services
- Adding drone/aerial photography
- Including twilight shots
Troubleshooting
Photos not uploading
- Check your internet connection

- Save changes and refresh the page
MLS photos not showing
- MLS data sync may still be in progress
- Some MLS systems don't provide photo URLs
- Upload your own photos as a solution
